  AMBULATORY STRATEGIC PLANNING

When Partners provides strategic and market planning services to its clients, there are typically three assessments that are concurrently conducted:

  1. A general review of the market to include:

    4 Demographics

    4 Payer Mix

4 Breadth and volume of health services yielded by the market

    4 Competition

4 Identification of new market/service opportunities

  2. Interviews with physician leadership, key management, and support staff.

  3. A detailed review of financial and operating performance with a comparison to industry benchmarks/"best practices."

The strategic planning engagement then begins with the presentation of our findings from the above assessments.  Subsequently, a full day session is scheduled with physician leaders and management to review the organization’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in order to develop alternative, viable strategic, and market positioning scenarios with specific business strategies identified for each.  Follow-up business plan development services to memorialize the planning effort are also available as needed to aid implementation of the plan.
